Classes
Each children’s or toddler art class goes one step deeper into the never-ending world of creative possibilities to keep your child motivated and engaged. Throughout this journey, the children are challenged to work with a wide range of materials and techniques, both indoors and outdoors, while working in groups and often on small performances. The classes are designed to grow students’ motor skills, communication, problem-solving, confidence and self expression. Our unique children’s art studio in Leslieville, Toronto offers both indoor and outdoor art classes.
18 Months to 3 Years
Each class offers a playful experience and a new discovery for children and their caregivers. Together they explore materials and objects through painting, printing, drawing and building. They are further engaged through a theatrical approach to themes using song and movement.
OUT IN THE GARDEN
Various organic shapes of cardboard, felt and foam become starting points for prints, paintings and collages evoking the colourful arrival of fall!
This class is offered to a bubble of up to 3 children and 3 caregivers for the price of $75 per class. It can be booked either as a session or as a one off class. Please contact info@myartlab.ca for additional time slots or any questions.

3 to 5 Years (JK/SK)
Children develop a project throughout the course of this theme-based class. The work involves drawing, painting, printing, building, installations and a small performance and an exhibit of created work on the last day of the class.
DRESS FOR THE WEATHER PEOPLE
Children are inspired by the changing seasons to create artworks about weather, how influences clothes and the type of fun we can have with wind, rain, sun and snow! We will cover a variety of techniques including action painting, pastels and collage.

5 to 8 Years (Gr 1-3)
Kids draw, paint, make collages and learn how to turn their ideas into 3 dimensional creations to use in small performance for parents on the last day of class. This performance will be accompanied with an exhibit of artwork created in the current session.
9 to 12 Years (Gr 4-6)
While still surrounded by a variety of materials with endless creative possibilities in the studio, children will focus on careful observation and expression through drawing, painting, printing, mixed media, sculpture and visual performance. They will make a presentation of their artwork for parents on the last day of the class.
